PC Just harvested my first crop

Eight blueberries gave me two seeds. Created six seeds so I have a yield of 2.

Two mushrooms gave me two spores. So I have a yield of 4. Note, can't make mushroom spores yet.

I'm not a great mathematician, but I'm fairly sure that's not fifty percent.

Right now farming is best left alone unless you are willing to put skill points into it.

-Or you tweak the config file to return a seed every time to treat it like the old farms.  Then you save your points.

Welcome to Gacha farming!
So beautifully true. Though that can almost be said about the entire game and not just farming. I'm starting to suspect TFP wanted to open a casino, took a good look at all the costs and red tape involved and went "Nah, lets just make another video game instead". Viola, 7D2D. At home digital slots with a zombie apocalypse veneer. I'm only sort of joking about that suspicion. This isn't Rick's and Joel's first game though.

The currency in the game are... casino tokens!!!

Coincidence!? I. Don't. Think. So!!

In all fairness, the state of real farming in the real world isn't good odds, either.  :p
Farmers in the prehistory, the OG gacha players.

"I spended all my grain and not a single good pull!"

1 point in Living off the land is enough to get, ON AVERAGE, 1.5 "profit" plants per harvest

(harvest yield = 4, seed cost = 5, seed return = 0.5  each 2 harvests give 8 plants and a seed, craft the second seed for 5, and you've 3 left over per 2 harvests)

Thats 1 single skill point to turn a profit from farming forever.

Is it more tedious to harvest, then craft and replant your entire farm?  absolutely.  Do I dislike the change?  yep - it feels like pointless extra work.  Does it make farming "useless"?  not at all - for 1 single skill point, you have endless food.
