I could list loads of games where people can pull a huge turret out of their pocket all the way from Ratchet and Clank to the very ultimate example of an Engineer class in Tribes spitting out a mobile inventory and proceeding to spam the area with turrets.
There's loads of video games with players pulling amazingly huge turrets right out of their pocket. We could go on for days with that.

No, I doubt it will be changed or removed either. I think it shouldn't even be there and just doesn't fit the game, IMO. But we're all entitled to our opinion on that. I can pretend they're not there and just not use them, ultimately.
Yup, I'm with you.... stupid to pull a turret out of my pocket. So instead, I just pull a car out of my pocket and drive away.

Anyone playing on less than Insane makes me laugh, m8. :)
So no thoughts for the people who don't play the game like its real life?

I'm a fairly casual player and smart enough to realize that designing a game for hardcore players is less profitable than designing a game for everyone to enjoy in his/her own unique way. I've already posted this on the other junk turret thread but it just seems like a really elitist way to act and isn't productive even for you.. Its fine if you don't like using the turret because its "OP" so y'know just don't.. But taking variety away from a game 6 years in development and still in alpha probably isn't a good idea.

If people like playing with the junk turret let them. How does that change how you play? Certainly not in a pvp environment I hope.. because this game isn't made for pvp which I'm sure you know full well. If not because of PvP gripes why would you be upset with other players using them in their own separate worlds? Why do you care about other people enjoying the game differently from you?

Legit enough to deal with green glowing zombies that like to come for you exclusively at night, one day a week and you always know which day it is.
What was your problem again? Realism?
My point is good game design that will be seen as good game design moving forward.

Realism definitely isn’t always the answer. Those turrets do ruin the immersion a bit for me, though.
