The game is a work in progress, They try things and see what works. Why is this so hard for people to understand? Criticism is fine on the actual game but why the name calling? Also the issue on console is that the game was abandoned by the original console company. TFP had to fight to get it back.

To fight to get it back? Dude it was on the back on console players steam. Version was never over 30bucks the console version was never under 30... And you have to buy it twice it's more then a AAA game price... And it's still a beta that broke your game file with most every update
Yeah stay in your bubble and think this is normal 😂

And I would ask you and all players to stop knee jerking over patch notes and play the game. If it sucks we'll fix it. Internally it's LOVED, feels balanced.
what? you guys turned around and made jars craftable again after just announcing they wouldn't be...before anybody else has gotten to play it.

I dont recall that being the case. As far as I read it was deemed that they might be craft-able all along. Only how hard it would be...aka...crucible.

We can't, it's not out yet!

Seriously though, looking forward to trying 2.5 out when it drops. I see a lot of cool stuff in there.

Lol whos relatives are going to be peed off because "You are spending all our darn family holiday time on the computer playing that game!"

Had to edit to get rid of the censored words

Literally one of the worst features in a survival game is food spoilage.
Agreed. I can live with it if you have some mechanism to prevent spoilage (e.g. a freezer) that is easy and cheap enough to craft enough of to handle your needs. Otherwise, food spoilage just forces you to make small amounts of food instead of large batches. I see no value in having to keep making only a couple food items at a time and continually going back to make more rather than making 50 at a time and not having to worry about making more for a long time. I also don't want to have to keep going out to hunt every day or two because the meat spoils. I get meat as I do other things if I happen to find an animal around, either while going somewhere or while in a POI. I don't spend time going out looking for food unless it's really early game and I'm having bad RNG with food. This isn't a hunting game for me and that isn't something I want to constantly have to do just because the meat spoils.

I think we'd all love to try it out and see what we think of it, but it's not available for experimental yet. We're stuck discussing it based on what has been told to us. That's all we can do right now.

Jars being craftable using the crucible was discussed way before the patch notes. I feel like this is either:
1. They forgot to say it in the patch notes so the media manager made a mistake.
2. It was still in discussion when the notes were published and thus they amended after.

They did announce it though, actually specifically stating non-craftable. FenixMatariki pasted a copy of one of the versions early on, from that copy:
"To balance gameplay, jars are one-time use, not refunded and are not craftable."
So, mistake, maybe, but .. quite the mistake :)

it is a moot point now...it's all adjustable to preference. I don't know what happened...I just know in the first post, it was stated, they were not craftable.
That's why I reacted to his post that way. To say they all internally loved it...and asking people to play it first before complaining...and then apparently changing them back to craftable in less than a day before anyone even got to try it...struck me as...odd.

Reactions: Lax
Knee jerking is not the same as discussing.
True, but I haven't really seen anything I'd really call a knee jerk reaction versus an honest opinion based on the information provided. Just because we can't try it yet doesn't make it a knee jerk reaction. But I suppose it's a gray-ish area where different people would have a different view on whether or not something is a knee jerk reaction. <shrug> Maybe some of the people who made a fuss about things like crafting and getting jars back after using them could be knee jerk reactions, though TFP changed things because of that, so telling people not to give knee jerk reactions when they are responding to that kind of feedback is kind of odd.

They originally said they weren't craftable and were one-time use. The complaints immediately started on the forum and they added crafting and a game option to get them back when used. I suppose that they don't want to have a lot of people hating their implementation after spending all this time adding jars back, so they are giving in to the complaints before anyone even tries the update.
