Hello there,

are the new mods system really based on 1 shot consumables(drop) ?

Meaning i can craft one mod then i forget how to make it ?

This should be a learned recipe, once you found it, you can craft and re-craft it if you have the components

(i'm only 8 days in an experimental A17 run)

 
Think of it more like a kit. Maybe I’ll suggest it to be called a kit instead of just schematics. It’s a kit that needs additional parts that aren’t included.

Mods were originally going to be found items only. I was surprised that even this level of mod crafting was included.

 
Mods should come as a completed item IMO, by the time you're finding many the difficulty in crafting is trivial anyway.

Being able to find and use some low level mods in early/mid game would really help break up the monotony and make looting a bit more rewarding.

 
nah, i'd rather see recipes for mods that you learn to craft as you explore & scavenge.

But not as 1 shot consumables since you change weapons / tools / armor quite easily & frequently

 
Mods are found as complete items. I’ve found three recently. It’s both finding whole mods and finding “kits” to be able to craft them.

 
Considering some schematics are 1-use while others you can learn and it's permanent, I hope we get more clear differences when looking at both

unless it's a bug and they were intended to be all 1-use
