PC Is Yukka juice bugged?

I don't want to report it as a bug if it's working as intended it already known about.

We're on a new game, fresh install, no mods, and all of our interesting pois are - unfortunately - in the desert. No problem, we think, Yukka juice ftw!

Except it's doing diddly squat.

It's not applying a buff, it's not cooling us down. We get hydration, yes, but no cooling buff.

Was the cooling buff removed?

 
The XML says it still has this:

...but in the buffs.XML it looks like it's effects have been deleted.

There's literally nothing in there.

It looks like there's a few of them in a list of things that need work.

The in-game description explains how yucca juice has changed. Read it and then stop drinking it in the desert....

Come on, you should know by now... the devs like adding awesome features and systems into the game (and then remove them 2 releases later and bland it down some more) JK - but yes, it should cool you down, is my 2 cents! What gives?

Roland, Yucca Juice has been giving players a cooling buff for years now. The description even says it does. Why would you tell people to stop drinking it in the desert, a place where it's most useful? There have been no changes in the description. If the cooling buff has been removed, why even bother having it in the game, especially when it is barely any better than the water it now takes to make it? As it is now, it seems rather redundant.

I really hope the cooling effect is re-added. I like the desert, but man is it tough in early game without Yucca Juice Cooling, when you can really benefit from having Aloe Cream for some healing (the Cream heals by itself btw, which I didn't know until recently, so still worth having prior to perking into physican).

And the old 'being wet cools you' effect doesn't seem to be working? On Nav map I went down to desert where the river heads south, planned to harvest Aloe along the banks and hop in & out of river to stay cool. No joy :(
