Is sleeper respawn still tied to loot respawn

I find having loot respawn off more immersive, and I also like having POIs I've cleared of zombies to stay empty.

In the past POI sleeper respawn was the same as loot respawn timer from what I had read, but if you disabled loot respawn then sleeper respawn was set to the default of 7 days. I would mod my game with a higher number for loot respawn (150 days or more). Is this still how it works?

AFAIK it would still work that way. I don't see any reason for them to change that, and it is not mentioned in the Patch Notes.

You are more than welcome to test it out for yourself on Monday though when you can opt into public testing on Steam.

Yeah, I can test it, just wondering if anyone knew. From what I recall it was a dev that mentioned the sleeper timer was the same as loot, but I seem to remember at a later point it was mentioned that the sleeper timer was now separate, so even before 2.0.

What I'd actually like is separate control. Loot stays gone, but zombies eventually return but not at 7 days.

@SylenThunder So on Monday, we'll be able to opt in for the testing then? Just looked at my steam and under the beta there is no option to opt in for 2.0 beta.
Currently Unstable_Experimental is password protected, so you won't see it.

When it is released, that will be an option.

And a reminder, Unstable Experimental is for testing and reporting bugs. It is not for long-term gameplay.

Yeah, I know, looking forward to testing the game, I did beta testing fallout 76, that was a lot of fun. Even though their "testing" was for only like 3 days. Was hard to give much feedback since I work a fulltime job and was maybe able to get in a few hours a day. Them giving the beta testers 3 days to test was to me an absolute waste of time. Because there's no way to get to end game content in that short time frame. But I'm definitely looking forward to doing this beta test and giving my feedback on what I find.

from my understanding those aren't tied together in any meaningful way in the wild, as each block has a timer that determines when they respawn once you've cleared it. In a POI I would think it would follow the same rules as the general zombie spawn. If not, they should change the setting name to POI loot/entity respawn.

That sounds like a misunderstanding; or maybe you're using a "block" as a "city block". If we consider each 1m cube a "block", there's no general block-timer, entire chunks will reset based on a setting. Some things, like plant growth, do work on a block-by-block basis, but not the general regeneration of the world.

POI loot respawn is primarily tied to the loot container. Sleeper respawns are tied to the sleeper zones, or to the POI as a whole if it is fully cleared.
