PC is PS5 strong enough to handle a more multiplayer version of 7DTD?

When it comes to hardware,  is Play Station 5's hardware strong enough to have more larger scale multiplayer if it were to get a version of 7 Days To Die?

Sure it is. It should be able to meet the currently supported 8-player co-op that we have on the PC version.  Same goes for the new XBox.

The problem will be dedicated servers. There are no official servers maintained by TFP for even PC let alone consoles. All MP gaming will be person to person unless the console version truly does end up being the same as the PC version and cross platform play can be supported. If PS5  players can access online servers hosted by PC players then that could be a possibility.

If PS5 would run exactly the same version as PC, there don't need to be any explicit cross-platform effort. It will just work to play on a dedicated server that runs on PC.

The serverbrowser probably won't work (is it based on steam our TFP own stuff?), but directly connecting to a server will.

Do you know something that we don't? 😛
Just the edge data of the capability of CPU, GPU and amount of RAM tells that.

The new consoles hardware is based at something like a ryzen 2600/2700/3600 (it's a ryzen 8-core, afaik Zen2, not Zen+) with RX5700xt (RDNA based) (probably both even better) and shared 16GB (so basically assume 8/8).

Since 7d2d runs on such a PC, it will also run on the consoles. In direct comparision in regard of hardware probably even better, since consoles have far less overhead due to OS and other running stuff.
