PC Is my base too much for current 7 days?

Jugginator,

I find myself in an odd position...You are basically the only person who is actually answering and helping in the console section. So I don't want to cause that number to go down to zero. If you misspoke, please, I offer this opportunity to clarify what you meant to say...or what you would have said differently if given the chance.

I don't know what else to say, Hammer. You take what I say, twist it into something that looks bad, then ask me to clarify. Regardless, you're derailing OP's post, and it should stop here.

fine...dropped in the interest of the community you can help

ffs...this game was never intended to be a console game. it was not planned or coded to be a console game. the specs on the consoles are not up to demands of this PC game. The console version deserved more time in the oven before it was released. It's not even half baked.

My apologies, but, posts like this really get me mad.

I read that and think.....so why keep releasing it on console? If you KNOW that console hardware just is not good enough...then why keep taking our money?
Ask yourself this, if you can't deal with a few bugs (think console minecraft, rife with bugs and crashes) than why are you GIVING your money when you're using a platform that isn't friendly to vox games?

P.s The console version runs just fine,  you literally get what you pay for. Want your crappy car to go faster, buy a better car.  You can't get mad at the gas company because your pinto won't keep up with a corvette.

It's supposed to be the same car no mater what dealer we buy it at... had one of those good stutters today that got me killed... sometimes it feels like the Vett has a pinto engine when on console

They can't just make your consoles sprout more ram. It just isn't gonna match PC 100% with current console hardware. You either get the performance PC has, the graphics PC has, or some mix of both which is what it seems they went with.

No offense to anyone that bought one, but if you purchased a Series-S that is exactly what you got. It literally has one third the processing capability and half the RAM of the Series-X or PS5.

Back to the OP's problem, if he still is reading this: I noticed he also has a tree farm directly beside the base, though not that large, but who knows there could be more on the other side. This could add to any FPS problems at his base.

TFP seems to have optimized trees recently, but I would assume the tree block is still one of the blocks with the biggest FPS debt in the game.

I have two Xbox x. With the next update they say comes in May will add some cool sounding things like blue and orange radiated zeds, region progression,  more POI.  I just wonder how much more it will sputter and I end up in a corner staring at the roof while my face is eaten...

I get it that the more things going on like lights traps and player blocks  slows things down. On consoles we should try and live a minimalist life. Next update let's zeds crawl through 1 cube gaps that promotes using even more traps.

Worried the issues we have now will be worse instead of better

The lag and stutter makes me mad too but that said I'm still having a blast playing the game while hoping for better optimization in the future.

I just haven't found another game that gives me the same kind of fun like this one.

None of the planned features you listed above should have any influence on FPS.

Don't worry, everything we do has to be done with consideration for consoles and we definitely do. This is also why some features were removed in the recent times, everything we remove is more room for new content :). AI is very cheap, pathfinding is also cheap, so crawling is nothing. The new zeds won't have much cost added, but we're always testing that out anyway internally.

Actually I'll add one caveat, Valheim. Luv that game. But once Console Edition of 7 Days was released, I haven't played it since. Lol

How does Valheim run on console? I'm curious since I only played it on PC. Got bored of it with the Mrs after we killed the Mist biome boss lol

For a game listed as early access it runs really well. Of course the graphics are toned down a lot so I'm sure that helps a lot. But the gameplay is so good you look past the basic graphics. Would love to see how it looks and runs with updated graphics. Definitely one of my top 5 games.

1. 7 Days To Die

2. Subnautica

3. Valheim

4. Green Hell

5. ??? (Skyrim maybe)

I tried a test and planted about 70 trees to cut for wood. About 50 or so grew but only to half height and the remaining ones wouldn't grow at all.

Once I cut down the 50, then the other remaining trees started to grow.

Since Microsoft created 2 consoles, one with far less processing power, I wonder if they would ever consider making a customizable console.

Not customized directly by the user, but at pre-order the user decides if they wanted to upgrade to a more powerful cpu or add additional RAM. A build to order console at a premium price.

You recorded one playthrough that ended over 4 months ago...how did it play above tier 4? tier 5? I hope the game gets there...I really do. I paid twice... at low tier it does fine, but, high level, it is not plying well yet.

People who buy the S usually don't have the money to buy at a premium price. I would guess they would rather look for a used X
