Is it possible to transfer character, stats, and inventory from Windows Store to the Steam version?

I would like to transfer a character and save from the windows store version that I play on a friend's xbox session to my steam version.  Is this possible?

Yeah, the saves are in the same location actually. The only ones you can't transfer around are the Xbox s/x and PS5 versions

@Jugginator can the map and any modifications to the game instance (our horde base, crates, vehicles, etc) be moved from an xbox to a dedicated server via another's PC save?  I understand that a save cannot be transferred, but can I create or continue this game from the xbox onto a dedicated server minus their save?

No, because it would require transferring the save.

Yeah you can't transfer from Xbox or ps5, you can use a save you made using the Microsoft store/pc Xbox app though. And saves are on the hosts machine, so if you played on a save your friend hosted on their Xbox then no, you can't transfer those. But you can join your friends Xbox session via Steam and it'll be fine.
