PC In which Alpha did they add Blood Moon Hordes?

@LuckyStar that was only in response to

"AlpakaMix

Thanks so far for the answers, maybe someone nows it exactly?

What i mean is the horde with red moon and so on, like we have it today, when was this introduced? "

It was the closest i could find to reference "The bloodmoon spectrum horde" referenced above. Reading the Version history from Gamepedia shows different variations of the horde implimentation over time . As far as the Bloodmoon I got my answer from looking at each dll version internally, for BloodMoon manager.

yeah I can go back to alpha 9 and as I can recall there has been a horde coming on 7,14,21...... and on. But I think them calling it a blood moon started around 15 or 15 alpha. before that it was just called horde nights.

I know the hordes come every 7 days but I think the key difference is what kind? Are we referring to the current ones where they all GPS towards you and can sense us throughout the night or its just referring to a big nasty horde that comes every 7 days?

Because the latter was what was prevalent for awhile in which every 7 days, its basically a super huge wandering horde that walk by but you could avoid it if you're not seen or out of their sense range. I remember avoiding these hordes by building a base on stilts that was like at least 30 blocks high and just simply watching the Zeds walk right on by underneath.

Do you know when these GPS hordes started? Where they available in Alpha 12?

Lol all these posts are we never really did figure it out huh?

So.... what did we get for sure?

Looks like sometime before A9 and possibly as early as A1.

There's your answer. [Pretty unsatisfying if you ask me.]

https://7daystodie.com/alpha-11-annihilation-release-is-out/

Official Alpha 11 Release Notes:

Changed roaming hordes now are small on day 1 and get bigger and nastier up until day 7 then the cycle restarts. On day 6 there are roaming dogs, to help cue the player that the next day will have the feral hordes coming. Day 7 roaming hordes are now full nasty ones containing cops, dogs and hornets, like the wasteland spawns use. Day 8 should restart the cycle, with roaming hordes being very small and easy

Alpha 9 patch notes...

"Changed Hordes are smaller in general but except every 7th day they are super nasty."

That was also the first version with random world generation.

Did not find anything more definitive than that going through the patch notes.

I can assure you that the gps zombies were in every night through at least a6.4. We still had blocky terrain then. I took a hiatus at a9.1 and the 7 day hordes were in at that point, but they weren't called "blood moon" hordes. The daily random wandering hordes occured sometime between a6.4 and a9.1 as well. All one would need to do is look at release notes for those releases. Not really rocket science.
