In game speakers

You should be able to apply custom sounds like using mp3 or other format of sounds in game, prompting the option to select what audio you want the speaker to play, whilst interacting with it. Also, if players dont already have audio to use in game, they could use default random sounds as a trial version of the speaker. Perhaps console could use this feature but they can only use default sounds due to lack of compatibility with a tool to find files. Finally we should have the option to loop and play other sounds after a sound has finished its audio cue.

I'd like to see them work as live amplification device of the player's voice. in combination with working surveillance cameras hooked to working TVs I see some cool possibilities...

Agreed, with the stuff that they have that aren't functional should be implemented to work because even the tiniest things can make a difference.

I could see the speakers working alittle differently. Maybe you could play a certain sound on loop, that would draw zombies? Maybe special zombies wold need certain sounds to spawn them.

Extra sounds in any game where things can sneak up on you is always a bad idea. For an in-game example, consider how difficult it is to hear zombies/dogs/etc while it is raining.

The only way that would likely be beneficial is as LawofJohn said, playing a Screamer scream to attract zombies.

If something like that worked, I would set it so every time I jumped on the mini bike, Born to be Wild played! Dana Carvey anyone?

If would love to import my own audio files. Can't wait to blast DMX - X Gon' Give It To Ya from all my speakers every time a zombie walks by.

Why not just using a music player running in background?
seriously! why add something else to use game resources? but "to each his own" they say.

when i am hunting zombies "day or night" i do not want any music playing - even in game. i use the ambient sounds.

I usually never listen to music while playing 7DTD. Sometimes when I am doing a long digging job I listen to some, but only when I am high level enough that a random horde surprising me wouldn't be a problem.

Obviously when playing pvp, no music ever (:
