In audio options, separate annoying moans and creepy tones from rain, thunder, etc.

I enjoyed the various sounds of the biomes, but after a couple thousand hours, I began to find them annoying.  Now I have ambient sounds always off.  I miss hearing the immersive sounds, like rain, thunder, birds, wind and water.  Please separate them, to allow turning off the moans and creepy tones.

What I find annoying is the thunder.  When it's raining the thunder is just INCESSANT and LOUD.  It never stops.  Can we have rain without thunder?  Or as the OP suggested, have separate volume settings the thunder?  The other sounds don't annoy me, just the thunder.
