Improvements for the dedicated server

Umm, can't delete or edit my posts.. A little bit stupid cause i have to create a new post now :p

Well, I managed to get the fix running. It was my fault.

I've re-downloaded the server-files once again and replaced them with the current ones.

The problem that shows up in the pastebin is that I've forgotten to rename the server-fix.dll, there was a (1) after it because of downloading.

So thanks alot :) It works now.

As long as you got it sorted out :)

Just updated the webserver-files. Now you can also see what the corresponding region files are for every location. My server is updated so you can look at it here: http://7dtd_admin.illy.bz/

Regards,

Chris

Very nice this will make it a bit easier to see if anyone has a house in a region before you reset it for a custom prefab, near future I hope...

Question: Been having this problem from after installing the map stuff. When I try to log into my server with telnet it always says the password is incorrect the first time and the second time it goes threw, I always type the password right every time I have been using the same password for the past 12 years or so.

Please enter password:

********

Password incorrect, please enter password:

********

Logon successful.

Not sure if its your fixes that caused it or if it is something else.

Do you have any special (i.e. non 0-9, a-z, A-Z, _, -) characters in your password? (At least I just could not reproduce it with PW set to "123" ;) )

Have 1 caps, 8 Lower case, and 1 number, Also happens when I had 1 caps, 5 lower case, and 1 number. No other characters but numbers and letters. Happens on both my PC and Server when trying to connect to telnet. So I know it has to be something with the server files or the fixes.

Just added player location markers to the map (don't forget to update the webserver files too if you want to use it).

@Lordicon: You didn't reply to my PM at all so I can't help you ;)

That sounds awesome!

How tricky would it be to produce 1 private map with player locations for admin, as well as the public one? Maybe use a port specified by admin instead of hardcoding it?

That's planned as the HTTP classes that I provided by .NET don't allow me to have both authorized and public access on a single port (at least not the way I want it ;) ). But for now there's not so much in it and even the player display is mostly for evaluating different things ;)

1.60 spaming console with not able to run rpc call with player not on the server. And player still on the server dispite he is not in his client.

Log?

Mod updated for A9.2, couldn't test so far though as the Linux server is not yet running ;)

But I doubt there should be any problems, compiled against the new version just fine.

No, just can't make it right for everyone atm ;)

As I do not want to care for both servers atm (a public and a protected one) I only have that one and that is either unprotected or protected for everyone. The latest this will change is when the API provides more control over the game, currently you can't do any harm and the shown data isn't that private either :)
