PC I spent several hours driving through the burnt biom and didn't encounter a single buzzard

This is a little strange. There were some vultures circling around my base yesterday but they never bothered me. Physically.

But I've done two quests in the burnt biom, didn't see any didn't see any. There were a few in the quest objective.

Now I'm sort of freaking out because they're going to get their revenge. But I need rotten flesh for my farm.
