I honestly love this 3.0 update. Been a while since I enjoyed Vanilla.

I am rather enjoying this update, I love the new bonus stats you can get on items on loot or buy from trader, its made every run vastly different, one run I found a wood club with 62.5% damage bonus on it, this means this wood club now hit about as hard as a t2-3 steel club. Another run, I couldn't find a decent wooden club, so I had to make a baseball bat for a damage boost. I love how random this is, and the dopamine hit when you find something nice bonus stat wise in lootis fantastic. Even a wooden club or primitive tier weapon can now be viable alot longer if it has a damage bonus on it. Please never change this system, other than maybe adding a sandbox option so people can increase or decrease the max cap for each stat. But leave the base system as is. Its one of the most fun things you've added to the game and I especially cannot wait for my fave overhauls to come to 3.0 using this system.

I also love the sandbox options, as it lets you remove things you dislike or make things alot harder on yourself. I personally like the life bars and seeing damage numbers myself. I set smell to jog, Mind you I might just disable smell entirely as I never liked the idea of it. I even heard you can disable screamers by shutting off the heat map or something, which I am considering doing as I always hated screamers and their entire concept. Especially in 2.5x and up where firing 20 shots most likely gets you a screamer, for a game your supposed to use guns in, putting in a punishment for using them is sort of silly imo and ruins the fun. I'd love to go full shooty murder hobo on zombies but screamers kinda ruin that. This allows you to have a vastly different experience almost every game as you mess with the settings. It got rid of alot of the monotony vanilla had.

I hope the bonus stat system (I don't know its actual name) always stays and never gets messed with, other than sandbox options to maybe control spawn rate and the stat cap for each stat. Its a system thats pretty much feature complete imo, and just needs some sandbox options.

Overall this is the first time I have enjoyed vanilla really since alpha 16.4, only thing we need is learn by doing and some actual content, where instead of weapons being locked to a stat like strgenth, they have their own action skill and that determines what level of the relevant perks for that weapon type you can learn, kinda like how A16.4 did it. You can still keep the magazine system as well to control craft quality. But i'd really like weapons and tools decoupled from stats.
 
I hope there is an "off" option if not already.

I mean sure, can be added to sandbox options. Options are good. Some people may not like the system so they can just turn it off in that case.
