Hi.

My question is, when I create a a map using the RWG.

Is there a difference between maps that contain the following, Valley, Mountain(s), County or Territory?

A friend said that indeed there is a differnce between these map names, they are different types of maps.

I HATE waseland and want to avoid it like the plague(why they removed the forest and plains but kept wasteland and Burnt forrest is a mystery to me), it seems that anything with the word valley has lush green forest biomes?

Any ideas?

/William

I see what you mean.

In Minecraft, you can influence the seeds with key words. I tried that in 7DTD and saw nothing to suggest that works here.

Furthermore, RWG is in a large state of flux. It's being completely redone for A17 and right now it's pretty much a mess.

I wouldn't worry about getting to know what you see now too much as it's likely all goign to change.

Not sure how much help the "pros" can offer since I'm not confident even TFP know where RWG is headed atm.

The good news is, they are working hard to get it right.

We just need a little patience.

Pretty sure that is just the name of the world in the files. Seems like they are only there so a player can easily find it. I am also fairly certain it will try and avoid giving a game the same name.

Anyways if that’s not the case and they actually do mean something then my guess would be the following:

Valley: Lower elevations, less hills, potentially more snow.

Mountains: Higher elevations, more hills and things of that matter, potentially more snow.

County: More structures and towns.

Territory: Less structures and towns.

(That is just a guess though)

Thanks for the replys fellows!

I certainly hope that TFP's are reworking the entire RGW thing, it is a mess indeed.

And my God I hope they scrap Wasteland and Burnt forrest, no one i know goes there, its depressing and boring as hell, i restart maps once i see that there is a lot of it!
