PC I died in an epic battle between two boars yet felt cheated

On day two I had my pipe pistol and iron arrows with a primitive bow. Found a chicken when I needed meat and feathers. Too bad for the chicken.

Before I could butcher the chicken, two boars jumped me. I stabbed one in the eye, he didn't seem to notice. You'd think that would hurt?

Switched to my pistol. By that time I was diseased and at half hp but I killed one and shot the other twice, reloaded, and killed it!

Bled to death one second later. Yet I was triumphant, I spawned on my bedroll with a chicken and two pigs to butcher. At a time when I had very little food.

When I got there the pigs were gone and I just butchered the chicken.
