could anyone explain to me how the export prefab feature works? its greyed out for me and the server admin doesnt know how to enable it?
I can't find any information on how the command works. Entering exportprefab only returns "illegal number of parameters". There are zero instructions that come with A17Only need permissions to dm (to enable the feature) and exportprefab commands.
I found that with "XUi List" but its useless in game. Those tools only work in the editor. I don't understand how Fun Pimps spent so much time with the editor but no way to paste in game.help exportprefab
Editor will not save the contents you place inside containers. if you want a chest to be lootable, dont use the player made chests, they will always be empty when play testing, as its up to the player to fill them. there are many chests to pick from. the same goes for when you place a block like an over or crate, its empty, but when you play test, will have random loot for that block.To @Alloc or anyone else who has the knowledge:
I am trying to get a hang of prefab editing.
Background story:
I made a 4K map for me and two other players to, well, play 7dtd. It is getting too small and the RWG wasn't too great (missing a hospital etc.). We have a decent base with multiple wooden chests nicely organized. I'd like to generate a 8K map and import the base there.
So, I was able to export the base into the prefab editor. Before I go and try to mess around with the import side of things, is there any way to keep the chests as they are "in reality"? I tried playtesting the prefab and all the chests are locked and when broken into, they are empty.
(Well, our forge and generator bank are also missing their contents but that's not a terrible deal.)
