PC How to fill in large areas with blocks?

Building anything of substantial size really sucks when you're dropping one single block at a time.

Any way to say build a large wall or floor etc all at once?

The blue box thingie (Z) would work great for this but I don't think it's possible.

I know it, one by one kinda sucks sometimes. If you go into creative mode from the menu it allows you to place blocks at a longer distance which can help out. I don't have advice besides practice helps with speed, and building scaffolding can aid the process.

I couldn't find anything that increases distance.

I'm thinking (I know doing it in the prefab/world editor does) if you start your game choosing Creative mode in the game settings you'll get the ability to place blocks further than normal. Don't take my work on it though lol.
