PC How is it some traders ask more for the same item?

Joel wanted 30,000 for a motorcycle. Hugh wants a bit more than 27,000.  I forget exactly. What's going on here? Joel is in the forest while Hugh is in the polar. Are items cheaper there because the greater risk?

As far as I know, all traders charge the same. Is it possible that you ate Sugar Butts candy before you visited trader Hugh?

Sugar butts for 10% off, most likely. Or 2 points in better barter, but that would be permanent.

The prices are the same without temp effects on your character.

I have not eaten any of those nor put any points into barter
