Grandpa's Ferget'n Elixir...
I saw it and assumed that it was a consumable respec....you unlearn your assigned levelling points and can reassign them.
If that isn't actually what the item does...then this entire post will make no sense and you can feel free to ignore it after the due ridicule I'll deserve. (though If you could tell me what it DOES do, I'd appreciate it quite a bit)
But if that IS what the item does, I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions regarding how it interacts with perk and looted recipes/schematics and whether or not you lose known recipes from various sources.
The big question: Does using the elixir UNLEARN any recipes that you've learned from ANY sources at all?
If the answer is No, then awesome, you've answered everything already. If yes, I'm also curious as to how it interacts with the following situations:
1) If I can make a forge, due to the intellect Blacksmith perk, and I use the elixir, can I still make a forge afterwards without buying the perk again?
2) If I've found a schematic for the forge, use it, and then use the elixir without buying the Blacksmith perk, do I unlearn the recipe for forge? (In other words, does it cancel out learned looted recipes or just skill points)
2b) If #2 is true and the elixir unlearns found recipes, does it also unlearn magazine perks?
3) (the hard one) If I learn the blacksmith perk to learn the forge recipe, and then find and learn the loot item forge recipe, does the elixir remove my ability to make the forge (since i did learn it through the perk, but ALSO later through the recipe)
I can see it working either way in any of these situations, but TFP have left the description (probably deliberately, given the origin and flavor of the item) quite vague as to what it exactly does.
