How can i play a mod whit friends?

I have the mod launcher and currently playing ravenhearst but i wanna invite friends to my game, not only the option doesnt work, but they cant even connect to me via the friend tab.

Is there a way for them to join or am i stuck on a singleplayer?

They will need to load Ravenhearst, and should be able to find your hosted game in the list if you configured it to be visible. Alternatively, they could also connect via IP/Port.

ooh i see and how do i configure it to be visible?

That's in the settings when you are starting the game. You set max players allowed, visibility, ect. It's all in the save options before you load it.

oh yeah i have it on public as always, but the game just doesnt show at all.

So i guess they need the mod first for it to work? il try it out, thanks a lot.

Sylen, what about the router firewall? Does steam already provide firewall circumvention? (https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/7_Days_to_Die_Dedicated_Server would need an update then)

If you aren't running a dedicated server, then UPnP should take care of opening the ports
