Spitters and Yetis are still spawning in a rediculous amount

It's possible it could be a bug. I haven't played in the Desert or Snow biome much in b3 so I can't comment about their spawn rate.

If you did not start a new save, then the biome spawns were likely already active prior to the update and would not have been affected by the update until they were reset/cleared.

Hard to say with such a lack of detail though.

More balancing is being done, but yeah once you clear out spawns (or leave an area for long enough), things should update with the changes. No need for a new game.
