Home Depot Mod

I raised a merge (pull) request against your GIT repo with fixes for A18. A couple recipes for Deco Pillars had to be commented out (I couldn't find it in Vanilla code for A18), one perk was changed, some models were updated, and empty can was removed from usage for filling with water. With the changes I've proposed in the pull request, the modlet loads with no errors. Enjoy!

Thank you so much, I really enjoy this mod and was considering doing this myself fairly soon but looks like you beat me to it! Great work!

Hi – I was having problems with this mod installed in 18.3 (red text, couldn’t get into game) and figured out that the following changes fixed it:

Deleted the “shoppingBasketEmpty” and “tire” lines of code in traders.xml and block.xml

I don’t know enough about modding to spot why these lines had problems, so that’s up to the wise and all-knowing modder to figure out ?

Hope everything else works in game, I'll check it out more.

Otherwise, thanks a lot for this amazing mod!!!

Done. Thanks for tracking the error down.

Now this looks awesome! Ok, so I will be the one to ask the "stoopid newb question" (me being a stoopid newb, and all lol). Can this be used on the default (Navezgane) map, or on one of the other ones?

It will work as well on Navezgane or a Custom random map.

Any chance of this cool mod being updated to alpha 19 stable?
There is a v1.4.19 for Alpha19 on the github. I've been running it and haven't had any issues, I did however need to make a small change to the progression.xml because it's still set for the perk "Yeah Science" to unlock the Filtered Water Cooler and Yeah Science perk no longer exist. I just made it unlock from Advance Engineering along with the usable stoves and ovens. Good luck, great mod!

Thanks 14U2NV and for the heads up re change needed to water cooler. Will download and hopefully enjoy mod. Thanks again

Also noticed some of recipes require tablesaw. You know that no longer in alpha 19 so probably need to change to workbench?

Ah, good catch! To be honest I've only ever used the working sinks and filtered water so never paid much attention to the saw requirement, but yeah, you can change that to whatever requirements you like since the tablesaw is indeed gone now. Good luck!

How do you craft the filtered water cooler? The materials required include a water cooler bottle and an actual original water cooler (both of which you cannot craft separately). I see you can purchase the bottle from traders but do traders also sell the actual water cooler as could not see such in the mod code? It does not appear you can just pick them up in the world

Yep, trader sells both the water cooler bottle and the full water cooler, just keep an eye on his stock and it'll eventually rotate in. Same for stoves, grills, ovens, lots of nice things.  Cheers!

Love this mod.  some tweaking I would do for some things, but overall great.

Couple of quick items I think would help.

House Front Door 1 and 2 both need to have a door knob added to their recipes.

Possibly for the commercial doors as well.

To add in please????   attached are the recipes I was working on.  I started with doors and windows and was starting to move to lights.  Also this adds recipes for some of the gore blocks to be able to craft those.  People like to decorate for halloween I guess.

I also create a couple of variant helpers so it was easier to see them in the build menus.  Not as many individual items.

The big one I really wanted was the group of windows in the "windowStore" category, both the regular glass ones and the bulletproof glass ones.

This also contains recipes for the small and large pipes.

I was getting ideas on what to add from a facebook group.

If you can let me know what you don't want to add in because it does not fit the scheme of what you are doing with this mod, I will adjust my mod to fill in those blanks.  I don't think home depot sells filled body bags and dead bodies!  LOL

I may change the "feeling" of my mod to be "cemetary" items and include the body bags, tombstones, gore blocks, etc... in that.

Thanks for all you have done, great work.

Is there a help to explain to my users how the mod works? I ask because for door, for instance, it looks like  you can build it but has a symbol of a hammer and we're not sure what workstation that is.

 Thank you!

Hi Abrondino

The workstations that are busy crafting things are Workbench, TableSaw, and Forge.
Changes have to be made because the tablesaw is no longer functional, but that is easy to solve, you also have to check if any other object, item or recipe creates a conflict.
Regards

Does this work for A19? Is there a version that does?

Hi Zagan

There is a version for alpha 19 (patched by branjos), but I do not know from what version it is, you can check it, although changes must be made because the TableSaw is no longer functional.
Regards

Yeah, I found vA19 .4.1 on the download page on github. I didn't see it in this thread so I didn't even know it was there :p

OK, well is there one that works for A20 now? Man all these updates are really messing my mods up.
