They just released a new update for the experimental version of Alpha 17, so I guess they have been busy working on it. Do you seriously demand a video instead of letting them work on the updates and trying the new update yourself?

Watching Madmole play isn't even about the gameplay for me. It's about hearing him ramble at ease off the top of his head and hearing his thoughts on things. People tend to take these musings as gospel and that's their own fault. To me it is an honor to get inside his head for a bit as he plays.

I actually enjoyed watching him play and talk about stuff. DOn't forget not everyone performs perfectly on video recording and talking to themselves. I wouldn't mind him playing with a camera on him dressed as Santa lmao. Would be hilarious.

 
Some of the worst players are more entertaining to watch cause they have better reactions and can be crazy, silly, etc. Watching random guy scream from jump scare of zombie ambush is fun too.

No kidding. Watching MM play makes me feel superior as a 7DTD player. He makes perfect "what not to do" videos.

Seriously though, I think a lot of his issue is that being so involved in the development process makes a dev know what "should" happen when they perform a specific action but then what actually happens distracts them into trying to figure out why and it throws them off their game. It's like being a grammar nazi and trying to listent to a conversation. Sure, you might get the general point of what they are saying, but you're correcting them in your mind the entire time they are talking.

I still think its a combination of him being a dev + being recorded + awkwardess of talking to nobody combined with trying to show new stuff while talking about it and talking about what they plan on doing. I can forgive it lol

Yeah, that was, in part at least, what I was getting at. There are probably a million things running through his mind when he is playing, such as what he should and should not say about development (he got in hot water with the fans about his "probably sometime in July" comment regarding A17 release) paying attention to the game and having to note any bugs that he is finding, hoping nothing game breaking pops up during his gameplay and how he'll play it off when it does, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I can see how it would make for a very distracted playing experience that I doubt he really enjoys.
