PC Hey Console players, would you pay for a DLC update? I sure would.

At that time, that was the most current version of Unity for the console. The switch from 2017 to 2018 would be pretty simple.

I see! Thanks for the Clarefication (get it?) We miss Clare and hope she's doing well in her new job (hope she found one).

Not always the case sadly as someone that works IT for a living. Remember Win10 platforms will have different code requirements than the Xbox and PS4 and porting things will require a lot of testing which TFP doesn't seem to have a lot of experience on with consoles. I'd love to see them hook up with Iron Galaxy again and get them to assist with updating the game.

I'm sure they will when the game goes gold. I'm sure it has been brought up but they are not just paying IG for the port they have to pay to get console publishing rights and so much more so it becomes very expensive. Money they just don't have coming from a small indy company. Getting the rights back cost them a lot already. Sure they have money they could do it I'm sure but at what cost? Them going bankrupt as well? Sadly current gen is what it is and will just have to wait for next gen where they can make money to be able to do what they need to do. But again I'm sure they would be pleased to work with IG and most likely will when the times comes I mean unless they know someone else and work out better business terms with.

XBOX1 is pretty much Windows 10. I'm sure its easier to port PC games to XBOX1 then PS4.

I’d like to see them complete the game. “It’s too much to port” how many games for PC have been ported by small companies and have been successful? Tons! If you don’t want to update the game, give it to us no charge or take it off the stores....it’s actually frustrating that gaming companies can do this and not be held legally responsible. It would be like buying a new car and then realizing hey, half the engine is missing. Game is awesome but super disappointed at the devs! Finish what you started! If you did your return on investment would be massive!

Well first of all no physical copies are being sold. Not sure why its being sold digitally still, thats intresting.

However TFP can't finish what they started because they didn't start the PC port. Telltale did and they shut down.

Plenty of small companies HAVE ported sucessful games, but those small companies had employee's that had experience with consoles. TFP do not have that experience, hence why they licensed the game to a 3rd party to release it on console and we saw what happened...

I just checked xbox.com. Still shows 7 days to die for $29.99. I'm sure its the same for playstation.com store. That's digitally. Not sure if any physical copies are floating around at any Walmarts or Targets. Maybe a few used copies maybe at Gamestops.

Used sales don't count, otherwise you could say atari games are still being sold

Remember it was not so much Telltale that did the porting but Iron Galaxy. The question should be what IG would charge TFP to do an updated port and would it be in TFP's best interests and cost effectiveness to do so. I'm still having a blast playing 7D2D but definitely would like an update as I have long abandoned PC gaming due to already having way too many other expensive hobbies and trying to keep current with PC specs to keep games playable just gets ridiculous.

oh, that's a pretty simple one and it's the exact same reason they sold the rights to port a game that even their own employees say wasn't ready.

It was being sold digitally before TFP ever bought the license back so nope.

Also again, back when it was first sold the idea TFP had was for it to be sold as an as is version cleaned up. Telltale decided to do it differently

if that was the plan then tfp should have made that clear to all including customers. Selling the rights to a game that is "complete" only to never actually get finished makes everyone involved look stupid

My game crashed twice for the first time on new server. Not sure what day it is now like 30+. First said I wasn't online. But looked at dashboard and showed friendslists so I was online. Then next time I was smashing zombies faces in the trench around my house with stone axe. Then got black screen then dashboarded. Then load up the game, then killed in the trench. Nothing was wiped though. But was left in a lurch being killed cause game dashboarded. Then they had the door busted down and were chasing me as I spawned in my bed. Then ran to the neighbors cabin. Was a crazy day.

They sold the rights to the game for consoles. How that game was marketed and used was on Telltale. Contracts are tricky, TFP can't comment on many things or interfere as it could create conflicts.

I saw a video on YouTube a few months back claiming they got rights back, but have no idea if true. Yes I would drop 10 bucks to get a big update. Either way they should try and keep letting us know what is happening. While telltale takes most blame in my eyes for what's happened so far fun pimps could step up and say something
