Help please "This save game is for a world that no longer exists."

I had to reinstall Windows. Before I did so, I backed up my Save game files. When I reinstalled 7 Days and put my save folder back in the appropriate place I found that although the game recognised what they were (3 different saves) it gave the following message to each: "This save game is for a world that no longer exists. "

My 7 Days was a bog standard one (20.6 b9) and me reinstall is the same - no mods.

Any ideas? Solutions?

Did you also backup the GeneratedWorlds folder?  Based on your error message, it can’t find the generated world which would be in this folder.

No - I presumed all I needed would be in the 'South Calexu Mountains' folder that contained my saves.  Oh well, at least I know it's lost now.  Thanks for the reply!

I'll start again with 21 :)

In case you don't remember the seed name, click on the Territory name of the save and the next folder title is your seed name. Just generate a new world with that name as the seed and you should be good to go.

The Territory name that contains my saved games is - South Calexu Mountains.  That isn't available so the game seed doesn't work...

What Star69 meant was the directory below that. For example I have a savegame in .../New Ceguvi County/hol/. "hol" would be the seed name.
