help connecting lights to electric

hello all.....in the new alpha 17 how do i connect lights to generator to turn them on? also...while exploring i've found some really nice in game houses that i would love to make my own....is there anyway to keep zombies from respwning in a prebuilt house? thanks

Wire tool from Generator to Player Built Lights. Turn on Generator.

Or,

Wire tool from Generator to Switch, to Player built lights. Turn on generator, use switch to turn lights on and off.

Sometimes, sleeping bags and land claims keep them from respawning in a house, but I've seen Quests reset the area, and partial areas being reset causing players to lose built crates and such. Also covering partial tunnels.

1. you can not wire to a poi light. this is by design a different fixture. only player crafted lights and purchased ones can be wired to a player's generator. so those already placed in a poi are off limits.. you can destroy them for parts but thats about it.

2. as op stated... once you completely clear out all sleepers in a poi, you can then lay down a bedroll and or land claim block.
