HDHQ - Textures/Lighting/Environment

Hey DUST, just wanted to say how great this mod is! I'm using the 4k version with KhaineGB's Darkness Falls mod. The two work great together! Really makes the game soooo much better. I appreciate all your hard work, man! Keep it up!

 
lol anyone else notice that everything is extremely shinny? i think the fps is a light/texture issue. was coming to check see if your mod would work on a18 as a test run

 
The modlets all generally work.

The Main Textures at this point are not happening. Terrain is now in a array like blocks. So, we'll have to wait and see what/if/can happen in some time.

As for the shiny, yea, its just a texture thing.

I havent looked fully at what I can get to for textures, just know that I couldnt change the terrain (as the first thing I tested).

Now that it is stable, any chance of an A18 compatibility pass for the modlets, particularly the Particles and Plants-Wind ones? As I recall, the latter was leaving the vanilla models in, instead of replacing them, and needed localization. When/if you have time, also a few possible new ideas for additions to Plants-Wind from this article:

I am using the particles modlet and it works fine in A18 Stable ....

I am also using Plants-wind modlet .... it needs a new game start but there is a very very low random spawn (1 in 30 ish) of the old pimps plant model.

So still useable until the full compatibilty checks are carried out .

I have had them installed since day one A18 :) can not carry out any of my modlet and mod testing without them ... Dust is really really busy at the moment ..

No need, you can just edit the xml of the current biome modlets to increase density.

As Ragsy said, I have a LOT going on right now. No immediate plans to do anything here, yet. In time.

I know you are busy Dust, but which portion of this mod controls the Lighting. I desperately miss your darker crisper nights. Im crossing my fingers it is not part of the Texture pack we can not use.

anything we can use to bring the atmosphere to a18 would be great :D

I'm downloading it but not confident I can adapt it

 
The Biomes modlet sets generally work ok .. they give warning about a dead shrub that pimps renamed but work fine.

HDHQ Plants and HQHQ Particles work ok ...

The only thing that does not work at all due to all the changes in A18 is the textures overhaul system.

Awesome, i miss your lighting. Hows Performance, improved Over Vanilla? i dont know what all you did for the A18 Version. did you mess with distant terrain or anything ?
