I'd be to scared to plant them, if they lack even a icon who knows what'll happen if you try to plant the seed.

The seed does have an icon. I found one and I found a book on how to craft the seeds.

Does the spawn of the pumpkin seeds require a new map, or can we loot it in a map generated from the first A18 experimental?

We got the recipe to make the seeds, but we haven't seen the pumpkin or the seed yet.

The loot table changes with the updated files, anything that was explored on the map will stay loaded according to the previous update but after updating any unexplored areas of the map will have the changes from the newer update.
