So as an old(er) hat player there have been so many added and subtracted features over the Alphas that I sometimes miss things despite studying the patch notes.
I've had two pleasant surprises in A17, firstly the reinstatement of the "payload" when finally destroying a tree/rock, etc. Secondly, the fireaxe is now a viable melee option, it always puzzled me how crap it was at whacking zeds. Now as a primarily ranged player using melee to save ammo in non threatening situations it saves a slot not having to carry a melee weapon plus the axe.
So I'm putting it out there, what else have I missed? What other handy changes have you found since A16?
