Glue and Bottle of Acid

hey hi, obligatory rave about the game in general. You guys have come a long way and have made a thoroughly playable, enjoyable game. I know you're still in development. I know there are still more changes coming. Keep it up!

This is the first time I've posted because this is the first time I felt I had anything to contribute... basically there are two items that I feel logically should have crafting/scrapping options and don't. I'll start with the lower priority item:

Glue

Although glue is pretty easy to scavenge out of waste bins and the like, and we can make glue from bones, the option of crafting it from starch sounds pretty obvious to me.

a) craft ingredient: starch from potatoes or corn at a campfire

b) craft glue from starch & bottled water at campfire

Bottle of Acid

This one is more important to me, as currently the only method I've found for obtaining it is kitchen sinks. Raiding an apartment building might yield about 5-7 bottles for me, and it's coming up as an ingredient in a large number of high end craftables. I do not understand why it's not available from scrapping car batteries.

Alternatively, one might be able to craft it from... well, it would require adding more fruits to the game. I'm thinking like lemons or something. More types of crops would be nice anyway. Maybe fruit trees that can be foraged rather than chopped down? Now I'm just brainstorming.

Thanks for reading. :02.47-tranquillity:

You make glue from bones and murky water in a chem station.

Battery acid might be too strong. but a recipe to craft acid from plant fibers, murky water, and moldy bread might be an idea.

also the game needs alcohol from potatoes.

I'm aware of the glue recipe, but since we can no longer harvest bones from dead zombies, I always seem to run out of them. :(

I like your vodka idea.

The devs are addressing the bone shortage in the next patch by replacing bones with bone fragments. So instead of getting one bone from a corpse you would get 3-4 pieces of bone, which scales better with the gathering perks. It will also allow smaller animals to drop some bone fragments, so the crafting supply will go up overall.

never had a problem finding bones, like plant fibers, dirt, and rocks, its always been something theres been an overabundance of.
