Giving cadavers a purpose

Way way later. Have random achievement quests that focus on the cadavers around the
world. Basically they could be lost and founds, matching up with the posters of missing
people tacked up everywhere. Sort of a nod to them like the personally named POIs are.

While out and about while chopping up a random cadaver, you get a popup, as a turn in to
a specific Trader. You give em the skull retrieved. and get a reward for finding them, The thought
is an extension of the Fetch quests. Those people are all dead, this puts a face and name to all
the fallen runners. If there are only say 40 posters only have one of each to spawn in the world
so it does not become redundant.

Find them all get an achievement on steam. If a simple story is put in play later, it could tie into
karma, relationships, and back stories, to fill in the gaps. Is it necessary, not even, but they took
the time to make flyers so it would give them a tangible purpose.

I'm not sure I'd ever take the time to locate all of them considering there are a LOT of corpses in the game, but if the achievement was for all games played so you might randomly find one without trying to and eventually complete it (probably after 1000 hours ;) ), then that would fine. I do like the idea. I'm just not sure about the chances of ever completing it unless it is entirely RNG and is not specific corpses randomly placed around the world. Basically, if you could just keep "scrapping" corpses in one town over and over, using quests if needed to get more of them, and be able to eventually complete it, then the chances of completing it are decent. But if you actually have to find specific corpses randomly placed around the map? It would take a long time to complete and would likely be under 1% who ever complete it. Still, it's an interesting idea.

You just described it correctly. It is a randomized happen stance, not meant to be another
carrot to chase. You come across dead bodies all over the place through basic play. Some
you hack some you don't depending on your task at the time. It is just a nod thought, based
on easter eggs. Like the zombie modeled after a supporter, the pois named after families,
Joel's likeness in entities, and of course Texas, from another post.

So if you happen to find 1 game to game it would add up, and little bits of creative writing
could reveal some made up back story. This way if it is just a random placement, of 1 name
per poster they could be assigned to a general loot helper, and be anywhere at anytime. But
be transparent and non obtrusive, during the mean time.

Polar bear is only 5%

Slightly off (or on?) topic, the only wish for cadavers that I have is that some of them need to be moving inside the body bags. Surely some of these people have died of other causes only to then become zombies. It would be creepy as hell to hear a zombie moaning inside a body bag and trying to escape.
