Windows Game Not Fully Closing

Just doing my part to report any major issues. It's been a while since I have played, so I don't know if this is an older issue or new with the update.

On occasion after selecting "quit", I will audibly hear my computer fans ramp up, and the game will not shut down. I can click "shutdown" in Steam and it will sit at shutting down with my PC clearly thinking about *something*. Pulling up Task Manager I see no game listed to forcibly close it.

This is happening with my wife and there is at least one Reddit post reporting it.

The wife and I also have been dealing with this issue. Almost every other time we close the game it forever sits at "stopping" on steam. Only fix is to restart the entire PC. Can't task manager the app.

Same here, have validated files. This is on a new game that was started on about 12-20 i think, so fairly recent. Logs attached.
Game was not closing, and even a reboot would still show in steam that the game was still running. Telling steam to end game just shows it Ending... never ends. Opening task manager used to show it in apps, and I could close there. As of yesterday, that does not work. I have rebooted a few times, still shows running. Cannot play game at all. I have revalidated the game files again, steam shows no issues with files. I have not tried uninstall/reinstall yet, but will be doing that next.

Will not let me uninstall since it still thinks the game is running. Also tried closing every service that I thought might have something to do with 7 days, including steam services too. Rebooted, still thinks it's running.

Thank you for your report. I downloaded the stable version, versus the testing version, to check this as I had seen it earlier this month, but hadn't had any issues as of late. Are you all still experiencing this issue?
