I can't post in bugs because I can't access a log on ps5

Oh god is this game getting progressively worse as time goes on, we play 2 player multiplayer 3x5 pr week and EVERYTIME it crashes between 1-3 times, and it is consistent, we have things on low (because ps5 can't handle 2 players doing each a tier 5 and it can't handle a 2 player tier 6 without horribly lag)
That's between 150-450 error reports yearly. We can't do any job because we fear the crash and wont start over and loose progresses... I really regret spending money on something that crashes, we played since 1.8. What is going on? Why can't it be fixed? We are on ps5 both of us

I know it's not a REAL solution, but if you have a friend with a good PC you can ask him/her to host the game, and you two connect.
I think the crashing could reduce greatly this way.

I know you are trying to help :)
But not in a million years would I give as much as a banana peel to the fun pimps (as in I'm madly butthurt and really angry on the devs, but I'll try to compose my self) but they don't deserve any money from playstation users

He has to download steamcmd.sh, the command line client of steam. Then download the headless server through it.

Here are three links with explanations, the first generally about steamcmd.sh, the latter 2 about installing and operating a 7d2d dedicated server:
https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD
https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/7_Days_to_Die_Dedicated_Server
https://wiki.7d2d.net/hosting/dedicated-server/
That seems very troublesome to me with all weird things that should be installed, I only own a Intel nuc Intel nuc13anki5

There are only a few steps to do, the websites provide in-depth information for all use cases. The nuc seems able to host a server, 8G RAM should be enough for 2 players.

Mainly the server would make it possible to get more information about your problem as I assume other ps5 players can play without such frequent crashes.

Possible reasons for the crashes could be for example a specific option setting or a corrupted save game. If you have a dedicated server you could host more than one game save and test if the crashes happen on a new game at default settings as well. Then test your current game at default settings. If the crashes still don't happen, test with options that you are currently playing with.
Takes time and effort, I know. Other things you could do without dropping the game completely for a while (at least until the next stable comes out):

1) Start a new game at default options and try if the crashes happen again.
2) Head over to the professional support: https://7-days-to-die.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I'm not that tech skilled with such things, but I'll have a look at it, but trust me tried every setting on ps5 we have gone through 5 worlds now and is playing on the 6th, it's not a specific thing that triggers it, other than the game itself, it doesn't matter if we stand still for a moment or is on job or what ever, it just happens

A few more questions, just to cross all t's I can think of currently:
Is one of you using third person view (quite new feature, might still have serious undiscovered bugs) ? Did you try to uninstall and reinstall the whole game (not a probable cause but there have been players with download problems occasionally) ? Is it happening from day 1 of a new game or only later, if the latter how much later ? Did you check if your or your friends SSD is full?

No we don't use 3rd person at all :) we have tried to uninstall and install, and my ssd have 200 ish gb left 2nd player have around 400 gb left. And yes it happened since day 1, it doesn't matter who the host is. We both use wired Internet

Has the game ever played without crashing since you bought it? Are you experiencing crashes on single player sessions also? I'm playing on Xbox. I have lag/performance issues but no crashes that kick me out of game.

I too have lag in stock setting in tier 5 and 6 jobs, but yeah it crashes every time since I bought it, but it have gotten worse over the time

If it was a PC I'd tell you to update the motherboard BIOS, but I don't even know if the PS5 has one! 🤪

That is because I had the game crash left and right until I updated my MB BIOS. After that it never ever crashed again (it has something to do with CPU cooling and such).

Hi Slitherix,

Unfortunately there are multiple things that could be causing the crash and without a log it can be a multi-step process to troubleshoot.

To start, in the game menu there should be a report a bug option, if you select it then your logs would be included in the bug report, but there is no easy way to export them to share here.

Otherwise if you haven't already you can put your console into safe more and try to clear the system cache to get any corrupted system files removed and updated.

If you are still experiencing multiple crashes per session, please reach out to us through a support ticket here https://7-days-to-die.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new with screenshots or a video to help explain the issue you are seeing so we can share with our team.

Hope this helps!

I`m on PS5 and play coop with a friend and we are into day 20 with no crashes and I host the game...On a random gen world... So far everything has seemed fine no major hic ups. We had a bug where my friends character when hes just standing around looks like hes constantly moving waving his arms and legs like hes dancing but it will stop if you jump on a block and get back down.
