Game crashes when playing with others on a server.

Hello there fellow survivors.

I'm playing on a 7 days to die server hosted on Frag. When I play solo everything seems fine. When I try to group up with people (group: max 3) my game simply crashes. I have no problems when I play on my own but i can't simply join my team.

I noticed some weird things. For example when I am close to a team mate outside a town it's ok. but when I go closer to them less than 100m the game instantly crashes when we are inside a town after a minute or less.

I have searched around the net for possible solutions but all I have managed to find are problems with the EAC which doesn't seem to be the case.

I have checked my PC on "can you run it" and it shows that i can play it just fine on minimal settings.and i do have everything on low.

We need crash logs and output logs to be able to help. :)

Output logs are found in the game folder inside 7DaysToDie_Data.

Crash logs are found in C:/Users/yourusernamehere/AppData/Local/Temp/The Fun Pimps/7 Days To Die/Crashes.

Only thing the server logs tells me is that you need to upgrade the OS. :smile-new:

The client crash is GPU driver related. Only other real helpful information for me there is that you have 16GB RAM, and were only using a little over half at the time of the crash.

The client log would be a little more useful, but I'm going to guess it's one of three things.

1. Under-spec GPU.

2. Bad GPU Drivers.

3. Bad DirectX installation. (not as likely, but possible)

Oh, or your GPU could be dying. Bad caps or somesuch.

Or maybe the GPU died because your CPU was sucking all the power and the PSU isn't strong enough.

Or maybe it's got dust and is just overheating.

I keep thinking of new reasons. I'll stop now....

There's a lot of options here still. Pull the log from the crash session from your 7DaystoDie_Data folder.
