PC Game crashes my stuff is gone

When is soon?

Can I just make it clear that I am not a member of the staff for this forum, a mod, or part of the team behind the game. I'm just another player who's been here a while and occasionally tries to help out other players, the same way players on this forum have helped me out when I've had a problem. Frankly, when I see comments like this, I wonder why I bother.
Don't say why "we" asked, makes you sound like a member of the team. I read hundreds of posts and have seen many comments similar to yours coming from team members so I picked one and stated my rebuttal. I apologize if it seemed like I was attacking you personally, it is frustration with the way these comments are always answered with the same cookie cutter answers that really bothered me. When I see problems from a year ago being answered with it will be fixed soon, we are working on it, then see the same problems a year later being answered with it will be fixed soon, were working on it, but if you don't want it to happen again just reset your console every two hours, make sure to reset it if there is fog, not regular fog, but a lot of fog, if the game crashes, and it will, go into the system setting and scrub your hard drive and other ridiculous things for a gaming company to ask users to do so it MIGHT not delete your data, it leads me to believe either they have no idea how to fix it and are just trying to make as much money as possible before everyone starts calling BS or we have different definitions of "fixed" and "soon" With a game that has had this amount of problems for this amount of time frankly I wonder why you bother too.

Despite what you may believe, an MD5 error is incredibly hard to track down when it is multiple sources of potentially conflicting code. it can be as simple as an incorrect { or an extra space in the wrong spot, or two lines at 5000 and 13758 that completely conflict unintentionally.

The resetting every two hours and deleting the information on the drive do help considerably. I can vouch for that.

You're welcome to apply if you feel you can code better than them. I mean, they could just not reply at all.

Finally, if you do experience a crash despite these measures, immediately go to the manage game screen and delete the local save. Make sure you only delete the local save. Then shut the game down, restart and it will sync to the save that the xbox has sent to the cloud (which is usually a loss of about 3 minutes of gameplay. But nothing else.)
Hope this helps.
Which file exactly is it that needs to be deleted? We've been crashing about 3 times per night the last week and I'm really worried we are about to get base wiped, again. We looked at doing this, but there were multiple files and when he went to delete it asked him some question? Sorry, I'm not the host so I wasn't the one attempting to do it and he started asking me a bunch of questions and I didn't know what to tell him. I've seen the work around on the link but all it ever says is "delete the local save." I'm sure that's more than enough information for most, but I'd like to find a more detailed version so he doesn't accidentally wipe things out. (He's also pretty paranoid about doing it so I'd like to give him something concrete that he can use.)

It is your save game, NOT your reserved file.

If you read my comment properly, you'll see it actually says " This is why we are asked". But it doesn't matter - just keep me out of any further arguments you wish to make with the team. We'll end our conversation here.

Hi Chainsaw,

This would be calculated from analytics in game. Thanks for the bug reports on your md5's we appreciate as much information as possible as it helps the team greatly in investigating each issue.

Thanks,

Ro
