Game crashes after stable 1.0 for pc steam

That.... may be something corrupted in chunks. If you look further up in the log you may see corrupted regions/chunks, you can use the regionreset command to reset those areas. It wouldn't cause a crash like that though, the symptoms you described are a gpu driver failure certainly. Hm.

 
Ok. Ill try previous versions of the amd driver. But there is still that 1 file that fails to validate in the steam "verify integrity of game files". Might update in a couple of days.

 
I had this same error. A different thread suggested checking the BIOS if you have an Intel Gen 13 & 14 CPU as there is an important microcode update for it that has to be updated through the BIOS. This has now fixed the probelm..no more game freezing or crashes.

I have an intel 12400F. So far it really seems the be the driver version. i haven't had a crash yet.

Your GPU driver version is one that is well known to cause crashes with many games. Update it or roll back. Nvidia has had a really bad year, so you might have to try a few versions. Don't forget to use DDU to make sure you have scrubbed the bad drivers.

Also note that your CPU is extremely problematic as well. 

This Youtube video gives an excellent overview & cause analysis for this problem, if it applies to you.

(For anyone running a potentially affected 13th or 14th gen CPU, you'll need to look into applying the microcode update ASAP, or potentially warrantying your CPU if it's too late to update).

I would add that crashes caused by the Intel issue can actually throw crash dumps that look identical to a GPU crash, usually Job/threading call failures, but it's the CPU that's causing it, just for future reference to anyone reading this. I haven't had any driver issues with nvidia for years and I update shortly after they come out to test, but of course it's a "user experience may vary" type of thing with drivers, but I suspect the influx of driver issues are actually caused by the Intel issue.

Update: It still crashes. But it is playable. So i just play until the next crash and ask others to rejoin. The length of the crashes are random. Hopefully it gets fixed in some update (gpu, cpu windows or game update).
I edited the log to remove some of the recurring errors, so that's why there are spaces. I was trying to get the file size down.

It may be worth RMAing your CPU to Intel and get a replacement, they admitted that the issues before the patch can cause permanent damage, it seems like the main thread is dying on the CPU there, logs just ending are a telltale sign that either the OS or hardware failed to keep the game running so it just ended it.

 
Finally fixed the problem for me. It was the white Cable extenders for my psu. Turns out maybe the resistance was to high and it was causing my psu to trigger Under current protection and shut off in certain games. i just removed the extenders, no more crashes.

Ah! Thanks for sharing, that would do it. To be safe, it's not a good idea to add connectors like those on your PSU, no matter if it sacrifices looks; good looks don't mean much when they fry one of your parts :)
