The one thing I want to say on bandits is something IZPre did a video on. Bandits have been in the works for a heck of a long time. At this point they should be something totally amazing and not comparable to NPC mods available on Nexus (that I havent got working on 2.0 but we not bad pre 2.0. At this point either take the emphasis off them or they would be super impressive with super smart AI and tons of features. There are already mods out their that have NPCS that can patrol areas and act as guards, can follow you and help in fights.
I think the animosity on bandits that a lot of players show is that they can't understand why they are taking so long. I think it would go a long way into tamping that down by explaining some of the concepts TFP is trying even if they dont end up making the cut. Just emphasize that but give folks an idea of the difficulties.
The thing is I don't think you can afford to make bandits too good. That could actually be a problem. The zombies are supposed to be the stars of the game. I never play PVP zombie games because the zombies become irrelevant and it is only the other players who are real threats. If that is the way 7d2d wants to go then that is the way they want to go but are they trying to make a kick ■■■ zombie game or a kick ■■■ bandit game? You can try to do both but concentrating on one or the other will please your players
P.S. Seven Days has built their rep on a zombie game not a bandit game. All your players have been killing zombies. Now done right bandits could be great but becareful you dont eclipse the starts of 7D2d, the ZOMBIES.
