I think you aren't comprehending what he is saying. His workaround is making it to where every crafting time is basically 0. By doing this he doesn't have to exit out of the crafting window and deal with the bug, everything is crafted instantly.
Let's get this in the correct context.
OP wants the system to apply bonuses even while we're away from the workstation after initiating the craft. I'm not even sure if the crafting bonus removal when we step away is intentional.
George proposes that we pump intellect all the way up, along with the crafting goggles to reduce every craft time to its base ticks which would solve the inconvenience.
But does it now?
It's a common occurrence where we hoard materials and craft them all at a go. A few examples would be things such as forged iron/steel. NOTORIOUSLY concrete mix.
Melting/Smelting/(insert correct process name) stone into the forge
Turning 'stoned' stone into cement.
Turning stone into sand if you're not actively digging up sand.
Turning cement/stone/sand into concrete mix.
Now all these usually involves thousands of resources. Even if craft times are reduced into base ticks, you'd still be reduced to staring at a workstation for a significant amount of time. Which is absolutely silly considering we have a better functioning system previously in this sense to contrast with.
So is this really a workaround which makes the OP's plea invalid? No.
Is the bonus removal on reduced crafting times when we step away intentional? I don't know, but clarification on this would be great.
