Firearms Modlet update out!

Everything is working wonderfully. Except as of the latest patch, the Double Barrel doesn't have a reload sound. I checked out my xml's and they look identical for the DoubleBarrel and the "Extra" Unity resource is the same byte for byte. But then again I can't seem to open the Unity file to have a peek. So.... yea..

I've been a bit absent here, my apologies. I'll look into this right away and put out a fix!

EDIT: Fix is out on both Git and Nexus.

I'll also be updating a few of the weapon textures this week to help reduce load time when equipping them.

Can you add to the munitions crate please? No ammo :(

Thankyou :) They're about to get a whole lot better, thanks to Khaine showing me a few errors I made :) I'm also in the process of reskinning and cleaning them up quite a bit. Trying to reduce the file sizes and clean it a bit up in 3ds. So far they look so much better :D

Very much looking forward to the update!

Possible bug to report: I attached a reflex sight to the Mossberg590 shotgun. When i right click to aim the gun moves down and disappears instead of moving up to look through the sight.

Just tested that to see if its a bug with the mod, but worked perfectly fine here. Do you have any other weapon mods installed? Specifically any that changes anything with the item modifiers?

 
The guns are amazing! but would it be possible to get steel variants of the ammo? getting enough brass to keep 5 people fed using these weapons is almost impossible.

Of course :D I'll be sure to add them into the next patch. I'm updating textures and adding more weapons in right now, along with custom scopes :) Should be out in about 2 weeks or so.

 
There is also a modlet somewhere, dont remember atm who made it, that adds zinc and copper (iirc) to the world so you can mine it. then make brass from that. I am pretty sure Itried one a little while ago that made that available from either rocks or mining, without generating new world. There is also one that might need new world according to mod author, but I think it might also be generated in parts of the map that havent been explored yet. That one also adds another slot to the forge tho, so not compatible with several ui mods. If needed I could rewrite that one to not mess with the ui if the original author is not active now or dont have time himself. Dont remember who atm either :p I can have a look, or make a quick modlet that does some of the same, or just increases probability of finding brass items in lootcontainers.

Edit: Another option is using the ammoboxes mod from Elucidus that I made compatible with this mod, and increase loot prob slightly.

I used to have the tactical action mod(nor sure of the title) but removed it a while ago. I believe this is the only gun mod I am using right now. Not sure why it's doing this then.

 
If you check the console (press F1 ingame) do you see any errors about any files not loading properly? And you could use the exportcurrentconfigs command from the console, and check the files to see that the code have been applied correctly. If not to familiar with that you could send me the xmls that command generates and I'll have a look.

But first I would try to start a new singleplayer game as a test, with only this mod installed, and just spawn in the items for a test, to make sure there isnt any conflicts :)

Output.log would also suffice and be handy to see the issue/s

 
Well i appreciate the help from both of you. Unfortunately pressing F1 in game does nothing for me. Could be my keyboard, not sure. I also have no idea how to generate an Output.log so this may be a waste of everyones time. It only seems to be effecting the one gun that i have noticed so maybe i'll just wait for the update and hope for the best. Thanks again.

Look in appdata/locallow/7daystodie/output.log or in your 7 days to die game folder common/7 days to die/7daystodie_data

Output.log is automatically generated when you click on play or the exe

 
Anyway to get this to work with Darkness Falls: They mostly come out at night?

I get a NRE and when I removed it the NRE disappeared.

jayick firearms modlet. . . is it compatible with Alpha 17.2 stable? I saw Jawoodle use this modlet and have to say the chaingun is a masterpiece.
