Fell through the map

Am the host for a multiplayer game. Was playing by myself. Riding my bike when it appeared to hit a wall. Got off, picked up my bike, tried to move forward and it appears I fell through the map.
Error message was something to do with Discord so I logged out, shut down Discord and restarted. Seems to load fine up until after you hit respawn after which time it just appears to "stall" out and not load. Do I have to start a new game? Was hoping for an easy fix as I'm not computer savvy.
My computer is a 1 year old iMac. I can start a new game and it loads fine. Have only 90 hrs in this game so a complete restart is not a big deal but am worried that this will happen again after we have played many more hours. Is there any way to save games so that in case of a crash - so we don't have to start over? Please ignore the link to logs - it is incorrect - can't figure out how to do it.

Was there an output log for that particular session that we can look at? If not, can you attach a log if the issue appears again?
