PC feel like im the only one having fun right now

The vocal minority principle.
You have about 20 people whining how they hate the changes.

Then, you have 22.000 people in game, enjoying it.

Put that into perspective now.
What does TFP want? Deliver a good game to make money. What do they need for that? People pointing out negatives that need a fix. Really no need to praise everything that works fine right now and there is a bunch of people who praise it. It´s business and time is money.

I assume they really don´t care too much about missing praises right now. I mean look how many things changed and how few get critized hard. Looks like a good ratio to me. Plus they are super busy with bugfixes atm anyways.

Be honest, does madmole look like he gives a F? ;)

Also those 22k not beeing here doesn´t mean they all like every single aspect of the game or will continue playing. Needs some time to get into endgame and we are only on day 5 of A17. 2 weeks after stable is a time where the playercount shows the real deal. (It´s experimental btw, 22K doesn´t mean everyone plays A17, i also think about switching back and finishing my last A16 base until stable once i reach 3 or 4 ingame weeks)

If A17 was as disliked as some people make it sound, we'd have negative feedback flooding the forums.

We literally have less then 10 threads and maybe 20 people total complaining about gameplay changes, which prevents them from getting to late game by literally skipping early and mid game within 2-4 in-game days and prevents exploiting of zombie AI to never fight them on blood moon.

Hell, I too do not believe everything is 100% nice and dandy in this alpha, but ever since start of A1, the game has never felt so good when it comes to combat, depth, progression and actual progression pacing.

No one ever will be 100% happy with the game, but if the stuff you do not like is minor enough for you to not be vocal about it, then its acceptable for player.

Some negative feedback on A17 is valid, but about 80% of it so far is just hot air from players who can't exploit Zs on blood moon anymore and players who can't cheeze their way into super fast late game.

What? This update destroys progression. The Fun Pimps didn't improve the early game they just stretched it out and made it boring. Building a base now is pretty pointless as even the weakest zombies can rip right through it and so what if people wanna cheeze their way into the late game, isn't that the freedom a game like this should offer? Because right now you MUST play one way or suffer. I also consider it "cheezing it to late game" by getting high tier weapons on Day 1, but the game did that for me, gave me a whole arsenal on Day 1 actually.

On here when the forum voted for bigger updates with longer times inbetween there weren´t even 200 votes. That´s not enough to get a picture about 22K (playing at one certain time, it´s propably 40-50k overall)

This forum isn´t really well visited compared to the playerbase. 200 isn´t even one percent, even when there is more now, it´s very low. Not reliable for statistics.

On steam it seems like a lot more really don´t like certain things.

Best Alpha Yet.

Took the fun pimps 12 months awesome,

some people aren't so much as giving it until stable before Slamming it.

SHAME.

we's here so Stable doesn't end up a coffin nail.

Things that go stable are deliberate and judged harshly

people will slam it with no hope for a fix for the next 12 months.

If I was angry and didn't think things could be better, I'd have uninstalled and parked the title next to Starforged.

SHAM.

That really is only the initial shock about the developers having the nerve to CHANGE SOMETHING. LOL

If you look at the Steam reviews, they took a dive after the A17 release. By now the "Recent Reviews" are back to "Very Positive".

No not the only one, it's the survival challenge I've been gagging for:

+ Zombies are a threat

+ basic survival is a challenge

+ I don't have an untouchable fortress by day 7

+ and the traders are still rude and ripping me off

it's great

it's great
+ I can now design a base that will lead the Z's up a ramp through a horror-house of torture, death, and gore, instead of having them always attack the same section of wall over and over.

+ Zombie Decorating Contests - give your pet an arrow mohawk, or a feathered beard. Shoulder spikes are a must! My record is 9 arrows - mohawk AND beard!

+ Super-Jumping Spider Z's! Yeah, that was a fun discovery!

+ Creeping around dungeon POI's, checking every corner carefully, because you never know when a Z is going to pop out and give your neck meat some lovin'. Really great if you're playing the theme song from Carpenter's The Thing on endless loop, in a dark room, at night.

+ New Vehicles! The motorcycle kicks ass, and is a Z slaughtering road hog! How much air does YOUR zombie get on a straight hit?

If this game had a Sanity attribute like Call of Cthulhu rpg, my survivors'd be running a straight 0 from day 1. I'm loving it, in spite of the bugs.

Lots of us are having fun. It's just that (as always) it's the minority that aren't that are the ones shouting.
Personally, I have no problems about any of the changes in A17. Before it came out the AI was being overhyped and I was worried about that, but in actual play it's fine.

If I had to complain it would be about quests being such a prominent part of the game, but even then I'm finding that I can suspend my disbelief and I'm able to do them with a minimum of eye-rolling.
Well what data do have to prove this? People said this about No Man's Sky too and look how that turned out. You are just assuming your opinion is the majority one, it might be but there is no way to know unless we have a poll that is using a clear poll statistic model to determine it, and even then it still might be off. Not saying you are wrong or right as no way ATM for anyone to know answer to this.

No you're not the only one having fun, I'm having a great time, yeah there's bugs and some balancing issues still - I think the game could do with a perk to minimise stamina use whilst wearing heavy armor too, and gun damage could be better, I wish they'd make it so you can wrench tyres to get tyres... I miss wood log spikes.. but these aren't major things, and is the point of experimental, over all it's good fun. I've been playing it non stop since it's been out, aside from begrudgingly having to go to work lol.

Regardless of if the changes are good or bad, people don't like change and Alpha 17 changes the entire game. Alpha 17 is making everyone to play differently than they did before. There are definitely a lot of things that need balancing though, HP/Stamina loss being one of the biggest.

I am having a blast, I love a17 so far. The ability to use modlets to fix everything I dislike is awesome!

I'm really loving A17. It is definitely different but in a good way. Does it still need some work done? Definitely, does it still need some balancing done? Definitely. But over all I'm enjoying every minute I get to play. Thanks TFP keep up the good work.

I've just had time to finally play a horde night. It was fun, even when I was overrun.

My defences where not that shabby, but I forgot one frame inside my hollow tower, wich they used to get onto the platform.

The vulture attack was also unsuspected.

Overall the AI is quite enjoyable, and better than in previous iteration during horde night.

The only problem is still the noticeable framedrop when the pathfinding calculation is started.

It hints at a larger group attacking shortly.
