Experiencing Weird Crash To Desktop Error - Cannot Play 3.0 at all.

I'm encountering this bug when attempting to run 7 Days To Die (vs. 3.0). I run 7 Days as normal, it successfully runs TFP splash video, then it goes to the main screen, and when it attempts to boot up / load the main menu, I get this popup (I'm presuming from the Unity engine)? basically giving me a progress bar. I am presuming that the system is attempting to load the UI elements into memory, however it attempts to load the next part, and then it just hard crashes to desktop. I tried troubleshooting the issue myself. I did some research online and some people recommended turning off "Do Graphics Jobs" which I did. I know EAC doesn't actually work on Linux so I disabled that as well. Some recommended that you changed your shader settings so I tried DX11, 12, GLCore and Vulcan, none seemed to help. The only way I was able to make any progress whatsoever was to completely uninstall 7DTD, reinstall it, (wiped the previous installation) and then start over from first launch. On first launch I preemptively disabled Graphics Jobs and EAC and it gave me the "Do you accept the EULA" screen. After hitting I agree it would finally boot to the main menu, and display the Cop eating zombies background movie, and I could adjust all my settings, create a new character etc. However when I went to launch the game for the first time it gave me that same popup message, claiming it was trying to load stuff, and then once again crash to desktop. Once I tried running the game a second time from a fresh install it started up again, and kept doing the same thing, right after TPF splash, CTD. So at this point I can't play 3.0 at all, and kinda bummed. Any ideas?

My system:

Running Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS (with Gnome Desktop)
MSI 1.0/Z390-A Pro (MS-7B98) by Micro-Star Intl. ATX SG1511 socket
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super PCIe/SSE2
32 GB GDDR3
ATA Samsung SSD 860
ATA Samsung SSD 870

Reproduction Steps
There are no steps, you simply run the game. Same as above. Not sure why it happens. I have other log files if that's needed (wouldn't let me include all of them).

DX11 and 12 on Linux? Vulkan is your best option on Linux as performance on DX 11 or 12 would be much worst.
Also, 32 GB GDDR3??? (that's graphics memory). I guess you meant DDR3?
Your RTX 2080 Super only has 8GB memory so maybe lowering your graphic settings might help as you might be asking too much from your GPU... Maybe?

I also suggest changing your render API to Vulkan when you are on Linux. It may not fix this particular problem, but it’s the better option.

On another note, the logs you posted, are they your output logs? If not, please post your latest output log so we can get a better idea on what’s going on.

Hi there, I have looked into this a bit but was unable to reproduce your issue. Unfortunately I also don't currently have access to an pc with Ubuntu so I had to use SteamOS to test but I did possibly encounter an issue that may relate to your problem. Your log files look to be from the launcher and I assume that you are using custom flags to launch the game? I see -force-opengl, force_d3d11, -nogs, and -logfile listed in the log you posted. When I tried to launch with these flags my game would fail to launch. If you are forcing any of these flags I would recommend either editing your launch options or launching with default settings and seeing if that helps. Also, if you are continuing to run into this issue after trying the default setting could you please upload the output file? It could help us determine if there's any other issues that could be interfering with your game. I'll move this thread into needs more info for the time being. Thank you.

Not sure if it's related, but I updated to 3.0.1 and crashed as well when attempting to spawn. Here's my log (first attachment/oldest log time). Note the attempt to load file "none" right before the crash.

Restarting the game failed to connect to EOS, first with no response and then unrecognized response when clicking Retry. Had to exit and open the game again to get past that.

After twice restarting the game, it loaded into my world without a problem.

Edit: Another note is that after I got into the game and invited someone to join, they appeared visibly in my game and then were booted. He tried again and was once again booted with just a Steam connection closed message. I'm including another log that shows both disconnections. He's rebooting to see if that helps.

Everything was working perfectly before this 3.0.1 update.

Edit 2: He was able to connect after a reboot. Still doesn't explain the original crash.
