Errors when starting a new game in A21.2 after installing V1.0

Hi,
After I have played some sessions V1.0 I wanted to roll back to A21.2 (manly for some mods that are not available for V1.0/V1.1 unstable yet) but as soon as I press start new game the console pops up and keeps rolling with red error messages also if I start the freshly installed Vanilla version of A21.2.
I guess, I have to delete some of the V1.0 config files or something like that.
Does anybody have the same experience or - even better - know a solution to this problem? I simply do not want to delete all my V1.0 progress if possible  ;)

The usual problem is that some configuration settings of one version clash with another. This is why it is recommended in howtos to start the launcher, change to the other tab and use the last option there to clear all your configuration settings. 

The other problem may be that you have used mods and forgot to delete them.

If you want to play different versions or keep settings, savegames and worlds I would recommend using different accounts on your PC for different alphas, as the configuration should be specific to an account. You can simply start steam in each account to download another copy of the game and (if necessary) copy the game folder to somewhere else to start it manually (be sure that steam is always running in the background when you start).

The idea with setting up another account on my PC is a solution that did not come to my mind yet and seems to be the best one for me.
