PC erro code ce-34878-0

I love this game a lot and while I was scrapping a ton of wooden clubs my game crashed I was scraping the clubs in a chest after crafting them I had distance terrain on while doing this so I turned it off and checked to see if it was that but the game still crashed after turning distance terrain off so is there a issue with scrapping in the game is my game corrupted I'm saying game not world because this happened to me on two different worlds first time the world version was 1.18 second was a 1.16 :upset: :upset: it was a single player world crafting 4 chest full(this is my first time using forums)

Hi Properpickels,

Thank you for reporting this issue you are having. When you say you were scrapping a ton, how many would you say you were scrapping? It could be that the sheer amount had overloaded the game but I will need to look into this.

Please give as much information as possible on your save type (single, multiplayer), number of clubs crafted, roughly how many had you scrapped in a row before the crash and what type of chest were you in?

The error code ce-34878-0 is unfortunately a generic PS4 code that simple tells us the game crashed, however with more info we should be able to investigate the reasoning behind said crash.

Thank you again for reporting this,

Clare

It appears he was spam crafting to quick level, so I wonder if it was a RAM or system memory crash.

I was crafting 8 clubs over 4 chest full I think

Sorry properpickels, to clarify, do you mean 4 chests full of clubs (each space maxed out) that you crafted and were scrapping?

Or just just scrapping 8 clubs and the chests were full of other things?

Were you scrapping everything one after another?

it was 4 chest they all had clubs and I scraped about 15 to 30 clubs before it cashed and yes I was scraping one after another

Hi Properpickels,

How long would your game session have been before crafting and crashing?

If you're early in the game, just to clarify, do you craft as many wooden clubs as possible in your inventory, transfer them to a chests, then continue crafting and when the chests are full you then scrap all of them?

I'm trying to gauge a detailed step by step so we can replicate the issue exactly. If you have footage of it happening, even better.

What is the area you're crafting in like? Do you have a lot of lights in your crafting area or are you growing a lot of trees nearby to fuel club crafting?

okay so I did this in two different worlds I'm going to tell you the newer world because the older world was for 1.16 so it was a knew world only day like 4 I was on a roof top because that's where I was staying while I build my hoard base and I wanted to get my weapon smithing up for hoard night so I took around 1000 wood from my stock put the rest in my chest that was not for the clubs I had 4 chest ready for when I was practice crafting once I was done crafting all the clubs and had them in chest I started scraping directly out of the chest and about 15-30 clubs into scrapping I would crash restart I would have slightly more clubs than I had when it crashed both worlds had previously had split screen and distant terrain but neither where on at the moment of the crash

Thank you for those details Properpickels, I shall pass them onto the team and we can have a look to see if we can replicate what happens and find the reasoning behind it. Sounds like it could be a crash due to fast crafting as kidliquid theorized above, but I would like to be sure.
