Dye armor mod glitch

Version
2.0 b 295
Platform
Windows
Can't seem to find this one posted prior, but let me know if its a duplicate.
I know armor can no longer by dyed, but if you attempt to put a dye into a mod slot anyways it will duplicate the mod currently in its place. Convenient exploit glitch imo. Doesn't crash the game but it spits two error messages in the logs. There is no video. youtube link is just to the home page.

Reproduction Steps
Holding dye, click on a mod already assigned to any piece of armor. Dye will disappear and when you click off it a duplicated mod will appear.

Yes, it's already fixed for the next version. However, that didn't mention duplicating the mod. But the fix may prevent that as well. Still, it's a good additional note about it.

There isn't a slot. The bug is when either using the button/key to automatically place it or if you manually try to place it in a mod slot.
Oh you're right - the slot's gone, but the word "COSMETICS" is still there for some reason. My bad.

Probably because they plan to add dye at some point. 😀
I was pretty sure they said during the dev stream they were NOT going to make clothing dyable.

In fact, the clothing tags were just removed from dyes in the newest 2.1 experimental.

That was for the bug fix. The latest from faatal is that it is still something they are considering.

Ah ok. I know at 1:23:45 in the dev stream, the answer was "Dyes in armor? maybe at a later time but not currently" which sounded to me like there was no intention to make armor dyeable again.

Why? They said maybe. With things that they have no intention of doing, they make it clear. For example, their comments about chicken coops or dog companions get a firm no.
