Tried it from server console. No dice. The jd commands tie only to steam accounts. The programming cant handle the abstraction layer added with crossplay membersOn console (PS5) and just had this happen in a multiplayer game. No teleport used, but lost both drones. Would be great if we could place another...
Maybe have a PC player drop in and run JD command? Or not allowed due to anticheat?
Thanks for checking... I figured it was a longshot, but never know.Tried it from server console. No dice. The jd commands tie only to steam accounts. The programming cant handle the abstraction layer added with crossplay members
ANYONE reporting issues needs to post reports on the forums. Thanks for checking... I figured it was a longshot, but never know.
Also posted on reddit and looks like there are way more instances of it occurring than I expected. Hopefully we see a fix soon... even if thats just the allowing of a new drone to be placed and the prior drone gets deleted.
The coordinates are between the parentheses. Ignore the middle number as that's elevation.#0, id 125379, entityJunkDrone, (611.5, 173.7, 432.9), chunk 38, 27
#1, id 63893, entityJunkDrone, (136.5, 62.2, -1037.4), chunk 8, -65
Now for the life of me I can not figure out how to translate that into map coordinates.
Loss of drone doesn't happen often, so you may never have it happen. In the years I've played, I've lost a drone only 2-3 times and most of that was during an update that had a bug that caused you to lose drones. In any case, it's often as easy as checking the coordinates of your drone and going there to get it. If the coordinates are NaN, NaN, then it's lost for good and you have to clear it. That can normally be done with "jd clear" from the console window and then you can place a new drone. If it doesn't work, you'd need to delete the two drone files in your save folder for that map. If you're playing with other players, it's best to have them pick up their drones first so they don't have any chance of losing them. Then try placing a drone. If it doesn't work, you can use "jd clear" and then it should be back to normal. That fixes the problem on PC in almost every case from what I've seen from people posting about it.has anyone found a solution to this for PC? We lost a drone in our world and are looking for solutions. Kinda scared I might lose mine in the future and it's diminishing my interest in playing to be honest.
From what I have read into things jd clear will not translate on the console players. I have done it from the server on the server console with no effect. Every variant of the command, no dice. The coordinates are between the parentheses. Ignore the middle number as that's elevation.

Yes. I was replying to someone who asked about PC. Not sure how to handle it for console or even if it's possible to fix on console. Even if it worked from a server or PC host, that wouldn't help console players who play solo or host their own games. So there does need to be a way to fix it for them, but my response was specifically for PC.From what I have read into things jd clear will not translate on the console players. It is not currently. I have tried every variation of every way to recover drones on console with no success...Yes. I was replying to someone who asked about PC.
