I like the trick with the ground blocks.  Are you able to walk on them or are they just air with a texture to make them look solid?  Either way, it is a great effect.

One block down, in front of every tombstone, there's a one block space for each sleeper zombie to sit. 

It would be cool if they destroyed or dented the dirt after they spawned though. 

I don't know if that is possible for a modder to do, but I am at least considering looking into adding a particle effect as they spawn, like the effect Call Of Duty uses when their zombies crawl out of the ground.
