That isn't really enough info to go on... Is this a mod? Valmod? Like:

<!--<block id="750" name="metalReinforcedWoodDrawBridgeDouble">

If this is a mod - and its been commented out like so... Then there was/is a reason for doing so.

In mods they 'have to' do such in order to get 'their things' working and its done for a reason. Sure you can bring it into the game via CM by deleting the 'comment out' part but what about the 'workings' of the item?

Has it been changed to 'work with something else' and that's why its not working?!?

The Sticky threads in these forms have a lot of information in them. If this is a mod then please go to the appropriate forum for that mod and ask there please.

No, it's an item in the game. It was there in a15 also I believe. It doesn't work at all. I thought about tinkering with the code to get it to work once, but I've hardly had time to even play lately.

It's kind of like the elevator block, bandits, and survivors. It's an unfinished item that may or may not remain in the game.

no mod, pure vanilla..

Idea: Build 2 drawbridges and place them in that orientation. Or a similar orientation placed vertically...
i know... but they wont go up at the same time then

me..

thanx for the replays

It is impossible to get that block in an unmodded game because you need to edit 1 of the games files to get it and therefore it can not be done in a vanilla game. Furthermore you said

and that means you already knew that you can not get the item without modding the game files (thus making it a modded game). All the stuff they commented out by adding "<!-- -->" to it in the game files was done so for a reason as @Cadamier already told you and therefore it may not work at all if you mod it in yourself. There are a few exceptions of coarse (like the admin tools) but the fun pimps (people who make game) would not hold content back if it was finished unless they felt they had a reason. You are better off asking 1 of the major modders to try to fix it or make a new item that does what you want but if you do that make sure its posted somewhere in the modding section where they will be more likely to see it.
